Photo sessions at Wandsworth
one of today's photos was used for the cover of Too Kool To Kalypso
one of today's photos was used for the 1979 Roxanne re-release
Date: 1978-07-20
Location: London, England, UK
Attendees: Stewart Copeland, The Police

Stewart Copeland takes a taxi to A&M offices where he meets Mike Noble, art director Mike Ross and photographer Janette Beckman. They're taking Klark Kent photos next to gas tanks at Wandsworth. Back at A&M Stewart met Sting and Andy Summers.

It seems they went back to Wandsworth for a photo session with The Police. Stewart eats lunch with Mike Noble and talks to him at A&M offices before taking the tube home.

The Reggatta tour program and Police File No. 19 mention that the photo for the Can't Stand Losing You 7" cover was taken today. That photo however was done at Peter Gravell's studio behind the Tate Gallery. Stewart Copeland was the only Police member at that photo shoot, accompanied by an A&M art director, who pulled the rope. There was no trickery involved. The photo was done for real. Sadly there are no more outtakes from that photo shoot.
